Not a Day Goes By

Three years after losing her grandma, she still talks to her the way families do: with the news. This voicemail, left days after Grahams' birthday, carries everything she wishes her grandma could be here for.

She tends bar at a few bars now, and loves it. The people she has met there have become some of her closest friends. Christina has graduated and started a fulltime job downtown, and is doing great. Her dad is still working every day, and loving it. Everybody else in the family is doing pretty well.

Underneath the news is the same line, said at the start and again at the end: there is not a day that goes by without thinking of her, without missing her. Her birthday just passed, and she wishes she could still pick up the phone and sing to her.
